Forthcoming International Conference

We would like to draw your attention to the forthcoming first Africa wide conference on Bride Price and Poverty. The conference will be held in Kampala, Uganda in February 2004. The purpose of the seminar is to unite women’s organisations and individuals to lobby for the reform of Bride Price across Africa. The conference will be hosted by the Mifumi project, a leading women’s rights organisation in UgandaWe will shortly be making a call for papers and providing you with a programme for the conference.
